Benchtop Steriliser - Annual Validation, Verification and Maintenance

This ITT has been issued by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services (hosted by the Velindre NHS Trust) “NWSSP” on behalf of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB who shall enter into the Agreement.

You are being invited to tender under the open procedure conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.

The Procurement will result in the award of a sole supplier contract (Agreement).

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) has a number of benchtop sterilisers throughout its community dental service sites. Within these facilities, there are a number of Benchtop sterilisers differing in type and manufacturer.

CTMUHB is seeking to employ a specialist & competent contractor to undertake the annual validation, verification and maintenance of its small sterilisers’s in accordance with Welsh Health Technical Memorandum (WHTM) 01-05, Decontamination in primary care dental practices and community dental services. The purpose of annual validation is to produce a documented procedure for obtaining, recording and interpreting the results required to establish that a process will consistently yield a product complying with predetermined specifications.

The successful company will be required to carry out the periodic tests in accordance with WHTM 01-05, BS EN 13060 and annual maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
