What the buyer wants
Provision of Adult Carers and Young Carers Support Services.
The Council are looking to procure Services that will continue to support and work with Adult Carers and Young Carers residing in South Lanarkshire to offer holistic, personalised support through an outcomes approach by offering a range of direct and indirect support. The Service will deliver a full spectrum of preventative approaches and supports to enable Adult Carers and Young Carers to achieve their outcomes and ensure their rights are met.
This is an Open Tender including 2 Lots, with one supplier being awarded per Lot.
There is a maximum budget for Lot 2 (for both Lots), further details can be found within the Service Specification (Appendix 4) and Pricing Schedule (Appendix 5).
For clarity, the definition of Adult Carers and Young Carers is as per the Carers Act Scotland 2016.
“adult carer” means a carer who is at least 18 years old but is not a young carer.
“young carer” means a carer who; (a) under 18 years old, or (b) has attained the age of 18 years while a pupil at school, and has since attaining that age remained a pupil at that or another school.
