Who's behind this

Where Contracked came from, and who to hold responsible for it.

I'm Martin Hoff. I built Contracked, and I run it from Bergen in Norway.

Why it exists

I worked in my family's business, and public contracts were one of the most frustrating parts of it. The work was out there. Other firms were winning it. Finding the right notice in time meant somebody sitting down and trawling portals that were plainly not designed for a company our size, and when we did find something worth bidding on, we usually found it late.

That is the whole reason this exists. Not a gap somebody spotted in a market report. A thing that annoyed me for years, built properly.

It is also why the product is shaped the way it is. The free plan shows you every match rather than three and a blur, because a list you cannot see is not proof of anything. Every match tells you the words that made it match, because "trust our algorithm" is what the tools we tried used to say. And the methodology page lists what this thing gets wrong, because you will find out anyway, and you should find out from me.

Why a Norwegian is selling you British contracts

Fair question, and I would rather answer it than leave you wondering.

The UK publishes more open procurement data, in a more usable form, than almost anywhere in Europe. Find a Tender and Contracts Finder are properly machine readable, which means it is possible to build something genuinely useful on top of them. That is not true everywhere. Germany is live for the same reason. Norway, my own market, is next: the connector for Doffin is written and waiting on an access key, and until it is switched on the site says so rather than implying coverage it does not have.

What you get by dealing with us direct

Nobody here has a sales target. There is no account manager, no quarterly upsell and no retention call when you cancel, because cancelling is a button in your billing settings and there is nobody whose job is to talk you out of pressing it.

When you email, you reach the person who wrote the code. That means a question gets answered by someone who can actually change the thing you are asking about, usually the same day, rather than routed to a queue and paraphrased twice on the way.

And your data stays yours. Export your tracked bids and their outcomes from your account whenever you want, without asking. Close the account the same way. Nothing here is designed to make leaving harder than arriving.

What I will not do

Where this is up to

Contracked is new. I would rather say that plainly than have you work it out. It reads four official sources through the day, it holds contract awards going back to late 2025, and it is being worked on constantly, mostly on the strength of what people tell me is missing.

If you try it and something is wrong, or slow, or obviously stupid, tell me. That is not a customer service line, it is genuinely how the last month of this was decided.
